Five common questions travellers ask us
1. How long and where to visit for first-timers?
For first-timers, one week can be enough to take in Vietnam at a glance. An ideal order should be going from north to south, with a changing view from ancient times to modernity. Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City should make a great 8 days travel plan. If you have extra one or two days, stretch to the northern hillside Sapa or explore the Mekong Delta with the bustling floating markets.
Rushing your time for some so-called must-see attractions is not necessary for such an interesting country like Vietnam. Deciding what you are interested in, culture, nature, lifestyle, beaches or food before making a smartly-timed travel plan is a good way to go.
2. When is the best time to visit Vietnam?
October to next February is the best time as it is the cool and dry season of Vietnam. Temperature is about 20-26c nationwide, just comfortable for sightseeing. Besides, you might also have a chance to be a part of the local life during the festival seasons in December and February.
3. What is the best way to get to Vietnam?
First option is by air. Vietnam has three major international airports: Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Cam Ranh International Airport in Nha Trang and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi and Nha Trang only have international flights with most Asian countries; international flights can fly from Paris and Dubai to Ho Chi Minh City, it is also connected with other Asian big cities.
Bangkok and Hong Kong are the most-friendly transit hubs as they have better airfares and much easier to get around.
