Tan Ky Ancient House
Built in the late 18th century, this is one of the oldest houses in Hoi An. This nearly 200 years old house was the home of the Le family and still retains its unique architectural style until today. The house has many spaces: the front is the trading area and the back is mainly used for importing goods. It is built mainly with pillars and roofs which are made of wood, while the foundation of the house is paved with high-grade Bat Trang pottery.
With the unique style of architecture, it was a combination of 3 cultures: Chinese – Japanese – Vietnamese. The designs and motifs are carved by Kim Bong Carpentry artists in the style of Eastern philosophy. Tan Ky Ancient House is one of the ancient houses honored as the National Cultural Heritage and is the only place in Hoi An welcoming heads of state and abroad to visit.
Trieu Chau Assembly Hall
Trieu Chau Assembly Hall (also called as Bon Pagoda) is one of the Hoi An tourist sites that is always mentioned in the list of Hoi An tourist attractions. It is considered one of the oldest architectural works in the city. Owing to its unique architecture, Trieu Chau Assembly Hall impresses visitors with its fine lines and sharp motifs on solid woodwork. Besides, the art of embellishing of terracotta and porcelain patterns is also used to enhance the beauty and create the art of the Assembly Hall.
Phung Hung Ancient House
Phung Hung ancient house is more than 100 years old and was built from the XIX century. The owner of the house was a famous and wealthy businessman, with the desire of a flourishing and prosperous family and business, he took the name “Phung Hung” to call his house. The house is a combination of three cultures: Japanese – Chinese – Vietnamese. With special structures, the loft is made of many high-grade wooden slats and the house surrounded by wide corridors that reflect the typical Asian style.
The house bears a strong cultural and historical mark on the lifestyle of Pho Hoi merchants. This used to be a place for trading and exchanging activities with many items such as: silk, salt, pepper, etc.
Quang Dong Assembly Hall
Quang Dong (also called Quang Trieu) Assembly Hall was built in 1885. The Assembly Hall is quite harmonious by the combination of stone and wood materials in the structure with sophisticated motifs recording the ordinary life of the Cantonese community in Hoi An, giving the hall a magnificent and gorgeous look.
The Tran Family House and Chapel
The Tran Family Chapel in Hoi An is one of the most famous Hoi An tourist attractions with its ancient features and unique chapel architecture. Located at No. 21 Le Loi, Hoi An City, the chapel is considered one of the oldest houses in the city with hundreds of years old.
Looking from the outside, the chapel was built by wooden architecture. When you come inside, the worshipping place is in the middle of the house with three doors. The main door in the center is for the grandparents or older people and it only opens on important occasions or festivals. The two other doors aside are for younger men and women in the family.
Hoi An Market

Cau Pagoda
Located in the heart of Hoi An and across the romantic Hoai River, Cau Pagoda is a place that you can not ignore when traveling to Hoi An. It has a unique roof made of wood with decorative architectural style originating from “the land of cherry blossoms” so it is also known as the “Japanese Bridge”. Hoi An Museum of History and Culture is located in the street with the name of a Vietnamese hero - Nguyen Hue. The Museum is displaying over 434 artifacts and is arranged in different themes, reflecting many typical features of the development of Hoi An Ancient Town over the years.
Phuc Kien Assembly Hall
Phuc Kien Assembly Hall was built in 1679 and is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hoi An. Through many restorations, with the contribution of the overseas Chinese, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall has become more spacious, magnificent and contributes to the splendid beauty of Hoi An’s ancient architecture. Coming here, you will have a chance to admire the extremely sophisticated structures in a space of unique Chinese architectural art.
Cua Dai Beach
