Wandering on Moc Chau tea hills
Mentioning Moc Chau plateau, many people immediately think about the green tea fields along the hills, which has long become a great inspiration for photographers and tourists.
Besides enjoying the scene of Moc Chau plateau, tourists themselves can buy some green tea – Moc Chay specialty – as a souvenir for their families and friends.
At Moc Chau plateau, green tea is planted mostly in the farming town. This is also one of the three places that has an impressive heart-shaped tea hill that within Moc Chau, this area attracts tourists the most. Consequently, please take your chance wandering on the hills in the early morning to feel the night dew left on the new leaves.
Visiting Dai Yem Fall
Dai Yem Fall (as known as Nang Fall, Ban Vat Fall) is in Muong Sang ward, Moc Chau district, Son La. It has such a lovely name because from a far distance, it looks like a traditional Vietnamese women plastron (which is called “dai yem” in Vietnamese) connecting sky and land.
The beauty of the wilderness of Dai Yem Fall
Dai Yem Fall is one of the tourist attractions in Moc Chau. From Moc Chau town center, head to Son La and turn at the point of Long Sap entrance fork. From here, the road is separated from Route 6, and you should reach the waterfall after another 5-kilometer ride.
The waterfall has a height of about 100 m and is split into 2 streams: one has 9 stairs of rocks and one has 5, and two streams are about 200m far from each other. The water streams are not too strong and do not have much water but like its name, the waterfall looks curvy and beautiful in the sunlight.
Dai Yem Fall is most beautiful in the raining season in April or October every year.
Dai Yem Fall is most beautiful in the raining season in April or October every year because during these periods, the amount of water pouring into the waterfall is a lot which makes some spectacular and poetic water streams. If you come here in spring, you can combine touring with going for a picnic with friends, enjoy the beauty of colorful forest flowers and feel the peacefulness of the highland.
Staying overnight in a stilt house in Ang Village
Being considered as a second Da Lat in Vietnam, Ang Village is a lovely village, which is the place where Thai people live and a place with many pretty mustard gardens.
Stilt house areas in Ang Village
Visiting Ang Village, tourists will have a chance to experience the daily lives with the locals in traditional stilt houses, sleep on cushions made from kapok tree cotton and try some local specialties. Additionally, tourists will be appealed to the spectacular beauty of a 5-hectare lake situated next to a 43-hectare pine forest covering a hill of ferralsols, which forms a magnificent natural beauty.

Discovering mount Pha Luong
Pha Luong mountain chain, situated at Long Sap ward, Son La, which is hidden in the fog all year round, has long been a familiar address for backpackers or people with a sense of adventure.
Pha Luong is a tourist spot that has long been loved by young tourists who always want to discover it once.
Only in the morning, you can see a variety of different kinds of weather here. There can be unbroken sunshine when raining clouds suddenly cover the whole sky. Exploring the heaven full of clouds here can make tourists feel extremely relaxing and tourists can also easily lose track of time.
Road to Pha Luong
Pha Luong is not far from Laos – Vietnam neighbor country. As a result, if you want to continue your trip, you can explore Laos through the Long Sap gate. This is an international gate but the atmosphere here is still very Vietnamese.
Exploring Son Moc Huong cave
Son Moc Huong (also known as Moc Chau bats cave) – a long-time familiar name for tourists to Moc Chau. From Moc Chau town, heading back to Son La bout 300 m, Son Moc Huong cave is at the right mountain, which is about 150 m far from Route 6.
The gate of the cave.
The gate is at the South and looks out a great valley with 7 mounds like 7 dragon balls. From this gate, you can spectate the whole Moc Chau town. Inside the cave are stalactites, which makes the visitors feel like they are in a fairy tales world.
Taking pictures with the white mustard field.
The raining days in November are when white mustard blossoms everywhere on road to Moc Chau plateau, which turns this area to a lovely place for anyone loves traveling and “hunting” for flowers.
White mustard flowers all over the hill
Not like Hanoi, where flowers are only in a small field, in Moc Chau, flowers cover the whole hill from this valley to the foot of a mountain far away; everywhere is filled with the white color of this kind of flower.
The ethnic minorities plant mustards to collect their seeds and sell them to oil making stations. As a result, the perfect time for enjoying the beauty of romantic mustard fields outstanding under the moon only lasts 2 to 3 weeks.
The wonderful scenery like in fairy tales.
People who are into traveling often recommend each other the perfect places to view the mustard fields behind the pine forest of Ang Village, Ba Phach 1, 2, 3 Villages and the Ngu Dong Ban On area.
However, the most well-known and most beautiful place is the one behind Ang Village pine forest with hectares of white mustard blossoms; here tourists can spectate the mustard covering everywhere, from the foot to the top of the hill…
