The time to travel to Moc Chau

Before and after the Lunar New Year holiday (the end of January - the beginning of February): This is the perfect time for anyone who loves enjoying the beauty of peach and plum blossoms. Places not to miss
Along the roads to Moc Chau, you will be able to enjoy some of the spectacular views of this mountainous area:
Follow the route 6 on the way to Moc Chau, at the area of Long Luong commune, you can meet many H’mong locals. This place is also a heaven for peach and plum blossoms. If you want to visit the place and explore, you should ask the village chief to get permission and explore the H’mong villages, people and their strange customs.
Reaching the centre of the prefecture, the first places you should visit are the well-known ones surrounding the central area such as: Bat grotto inside Son Moc Huong cave, Ban Ang pine forest, orchid garden, strawberries or Dai Yem Fall. If you have a lot of time, please spare some to explore each of them, which will be very interesting.
Going back about 5 to 7 km from this central area, you will reach the agriculture town Moc Chau. Here you can visit the tea factory and Moc Chau milk company. Green tea hills and endless fields will definitely bring you some strange but relaxing feeling.
From the farm, you can head to Tan Lap. There is a beautiful heart-shaped green team hill, Ngu Dong Ban on and white mustard, marigold, peach and plum blossom forests. Tourists to Moc Chau hardly ever miss these places, which are the ones attract tourists the most.

Transportation
Vehicles and roads to Moc Chau
Because Moc Chau is only 200 km far from Hanoi, both motorbike and car are comfortable options to travel here. It only takes about 5 or 6 hours to travel here and after that, you will be able to enjoy the wonder of Moc Chau.
For anyone who wants to go on a backpacking holiday, motorbike is the best option. From Hanoi, following Nguyen Trai Road, Thanh Xuan or Lang Hoa to Xuan Mai to route 6 across Hoa Binh, you will reach Moc Chau- Son La.
The time needed for traveling is about 4 to 5 hours, or if you want to stop by somewhere to take pictures or have some rest, it will take about 6 hours to reach there. Anyone who does not have the experience for traveling by motorbikes can choose to travel by car.
Buses from My Dinh, Yen Nghia bus stations or Son La homestay ( 378 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi):
Buses in high quality from My Dinh are 45-seat with sleeper buses running from 5 a.m to 9 p.m, price range from 150,000 - 180,000 VND/guest. Traveling by this kind of bus is suitable for people who do not have excellent health.
Buses from Yen Nghia bus station are country buses with 16 or 29 seats, running from 5 a.m to 1 p.m at a price of about 110,000 VND/guest.
Transportation in Moc Chau
Coming to Moc Chau, you also need to travel from places to places to explore. Renting services here are many but you should choose carefully to avoid being ripped off. Hotels do lend motorbike at the prices of about 150,000 VND/day.

Coming to Moc Chau, you will enjoy calf, stream fish, pork, thang co, bamboo-tube rice, Thai people’s specialties that can be found in families living in the pine forest of Ang village.
Buy as a souvenir: Moc Chau milk, doi candy, Moc Chau tea, cham cheo spice, buffalo meat, smoked beef, meo apple, corn, plum, peach depending on the season. However, milk and candy are products that are always available for tourists to buy as gifts.
Prepare personal belongings
